Gemtec is in usage of the first pure electrical car contributing to climate and environment protection.
The purchase of KIA Soul EV is a pilot project. Instead of cylinders, valves and pistons, the car operates with electric energy without CO2 emissions. Once charged it reaches about 200 km – convenient to our regional customer service. René Graßke, department manager metalworking, says: “I am impressed by the low noise level and gentle driving.”
In the production process our engineers attach importance to sustainability. They work on solution for an energy efficient operation of your plants, energy recovery or powder recovery.
The installation of a photovoltaic system was made in 2011 as a new production hall was built. This system produces about 200 kWh an hour. In 2015 we have produced 136.800 kWh electrical energy saving 75.200 kg CO².
