For the book Poetry in Stitches, designer Solveig Hisdal drew inspiration from traditional patterns and techniques from, among others, textiles, rosemaling chests and cabinets, wallpapers, national costumes, and bridal cloths. She visited museums to gather knowledge and inspiration, using this to create a book full of knitted treasures. The book was published in 1997 and is unfortunately not available for sale today.
