The 2021 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is a perfumed powerhouse

It has a medium to full-bodied texture and is both tense and crystalline

This is also quite tightly coiled and a wine that will need all of a decade to reach its peak

The medium bodied flavors are not particularly dense (though neither are they dilute) while the lightly mineral suffused finish is grippy, drying and a bit short. I fear the hail damage explains the raspy tannins.
