Description
Features a gorgeous brioche frame around the creamed pear
(from very old vines situated in Les Hauts Brins that have approximately 20% pinot beurot interspersed with the pinot vines)
A pure grenache from 100-year-old vines growing on sandy soil
Generous wood fights somewhat with the ripe liqueur-like nose that is comprised primarily by notes of both red and dark pinot fruit that are liberally laced with pungent earth nuances
More substantial than the 1996 Forts
Thomas Morey, Puligny Montrachet Truffiere Vintage:2019 Features a gorgeous brioche frameHere the nose is suffering from some post bottling reduction though I would not expect it to last. Otherwise there is more volume and mid palate density if somewhat less tension to the middle weight flavors that also exude a bracing minerality on the balanced, stylish and lingering finale.
