More subtle though still prominent oak can be found on the much more reserved red currant and dark berry-suffused nose that displays an astonishing array of spice

with all the tannins resolved

it finishes long and not at all cloying

compact and sneaky long finale

This is beautifully balanced and should hugely reward extended cellaring

Littorai, Charles Heintz Chardonnay Size:6x750ml More subtle though still prominentThe 2020 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard is endowed with notable density and power. Orchard fruit, white flowers, almond and strong mineral accents are front and center. Texturally, the 2020 has a phenolic like quality that is distinctive, but not especially typical of Heintz Chardonnays. I would give it a another year or two in bottle to see if some of the edges soften.
