Philippe Pacalet, Gevrey Chambertin Vintage:2017 The 2016 Insignia has turned(from 6 different lieux dits). A ripe nose features notes of red raspberry, black cherry and earth. The exceptionally rich middle weight flavors possess a velvety, round and textured mouthfeel that terminates in a youthfully austere and reasonably long finale. This needs more depth but may well develop it if allowed a few years of bottle aging.
