Bønneplante | Ctenanthe 'burle-marxii' Skyggeplante This houseplant filters polluted particlesThe Ctenanthe is a plant native to tropical Central and South America. The plant is closely related to the Calathea and has the same nice property of pulling up its leaves at night. This means that during the day the beautiful striped top of the leaf can be seen, and at night the beautiful purple underside. So don't be alarmed if you hear some rustling at night: these are leaves that are sliding past each other!
